The Addison Boca Raton Florida Wedding Venue

We travel down to Boca Raton for our latest wedding reception to a place that has been a part of Florida history for a long time. Welcome to The Addison of Boca Raton, a classic old time restaurant type of facility that has been converted into one of the most elegant wedding and event venues in South Florida. The building was designed back in 1926 by the famous architect Addison Mizner and you can feel the history of the place as soon as you arrive. Its a very elegant and classy facility and this was a wedding reception we had the pleasure of doing in one of their more intimate ballrooms. As you arrive the parking is valet for your guests and vendors can pull up outside fairly close to the main doors to offload their equipment which is always a big help. As you make your way inside and out to the courtyard theres a large banyan tree thats about 100 years old and its the centerpiece of the whole property. Under and around the tree is a beautiful area for ceremonies with a fountain and plenty of room for chairs for your guests. Below the tree is also a nice area for cocktail hour where your guests can enjoy drinks and snacks under the shade of the banyan before heading into the reception.

The Addison has about 5-6 different banquet rooms and ballrooms available including an upstairs area, so theres a room for just about any size event. The ballroom we were in is the more intimate one that can hold about 75-90 people comfortably with round tables around a big open dance floor area in the middle. It has gorgeous whitewashed wood ceilings with beams and chandeliers and it looks amazing with uplighting around the room. The food is all inclusive and catered in house so you don't have to hire an outside caterer and they have a bar area and also movable bars they can setup for your guests. Theres also plenty of room for the DJ or entertainment to setup along the wall with the dance floor right in front.

Some side notes for The Addison, theres plenty of places to get ready for the bridal party which is always a plus on a wedding day. They have a coordinator on site to help you with your event and make sure everything runs smooth. Photographers will love this place because theres photo ops everywhere from the banyan tree and courtyard to the classic old Florida architecture of the building itself. Its very close to the downtown Boca Raton area and several hotels are close by for your guests that are traveling in. One thing to keep in mind is the traffic in the area is busy on weekdays but weekends are much better.
