A piece of history sits right onthe intracoastal waterway just a few minutes south of Daytona Beach Florida in a cute town of Port Orange. Florida is filled with numerous historic districts especially St. Augustine and many cities near the east coast. The reason for this is the routes the railroads took back in the early 20th century and many mansions and historic venues were born along the coast and later turned into museums and wedding & special event venues. You'll be very interested in this amazing venue. The Estate on the Halifax is it's own paradise. Situated on US highway 1 in the city of Port Orange which is a few minutes south of the Daytona area. As you first pull in to the facility there's a parking lot right along the main road. This entire place is a very large property with several buildings on site, gardens, ponds, a chapel, a restaurant and banquet room, a miniature train and track that goes around the property and a fantastic classic train car. There are several areas to have your wedding ceremony and reception.
Starting with the gorgeous gazebo that is surrounded by ponds, you can have your ceremony setup right here with chairs and plenty of room for a DJ, sound person or musician. There's also power available at the gazebo to plug into. There's a long sidewalk with a garden view which makes for amazing pictures too. You can accomodate about 50-75 people comfortably for a ceremony at the gazebo. The views and the layout are excellent so keep this option in mind.
You can also have your ceremony in their on-site chapel with the oldchool church look. It has a classic wood look and can be decorated the way you request. Some other conveniences for the bridal party are lots of places to get ready. They have a classic train car setup for the brides and grooms to get dressed and relax. For those history buffs you'll love the train car and the cool train/garden house thats in the center of the property. It makes for a nice cocktail hour area too. They also have additional buildings towards the east side of the property you can request to get ready too. The best part about this property is there's plenty to see and walk around at. Guests are excited as they checkout the beautiful views of the water and lots of gardens and greenery.
Last but not least is the main banquet room which is located at the entrance of the west side of the property. As you walk in you'll go to your left and it takes you to a lower floor. With a tile floor and gorgeous wood decor, it's an elegant and personal touch to the banquet room. There's also a cool staircase that couples love to walk down. Restrooms are conveniently located right by the main room and it can accomodate roughly 50-75 guests comfortably with a gift table, cake table and a sweetheart table. You can also have
uplights and a
photo booth if you choose. The food is excellent and the staff is professional and work to make sure your event is wonderful. We had a great experience working at this venue. It's also wheelchair friendly and very easy for older guests to walk into as well.
