Heading out west to the most country area on the map, we had the pleasure of working at a beautiful rustic venue out in Okeechobee Florida just miles from the lake and right in the heart of downtown area but far enough away to enjoy the farmland scenery. Ever After farms has several great locations to choose from in the state of Florida. Just west of Ft. Pierce right off the main highway is Ever After Stockyard Barn. It's an elegant layout with a gorgeous vaulted very tall ceiling and windows that look out to the sky. There's chandeliers lining the ceiling as well as lighted pillars and white sashes..
As you arrive to the location you'll see a long circular dirt road with a pond and lots of parking available for your guests. As you enter through the tall barn doors you'll be greeted by wood floors and space for 200 guests plus the wedding staff. There's mens lounge area with pool table and flat screen tv along with rustic wood bathrooms and a ladie's getting read room and restroom as well. To the right side is a kitchen area and bar for serving drinks. There's also lots of corners for your DJ, coffee or donut bar, cake cutting table and sweetheart table at the front.
As you make your way towards the back of the barn there's doors that take you outside to the patio area overlooking the farm with horses and a field too. You can setup games and fun things to do for your guests. They have chairs and setup drinks and snacks outside with a window from the kitchen to the patio area. Guests can enjoy cocktail hour and mingle while the couple takes photos.
Another really great thing about Ever after farms Okeechobee Florida is they have a ceremony area with seats and walkway. The ceremony area is not covered so keep in mind about rain so you can be ready for south Florida weather. They also have sound available but it's best to inquire with Ever After to see what they can provide.
Lastly, some side notes about Ever After Okeechobee are during the summer months it's best to have your reception inside since it can be fairly hot for kids and senior citizens. There's parking on the side of the barn for your vendors and it's very easy to bring in equipment, event supplies, etc. Your photographer will have lots of photo ops and places for those rustic style wedding photos. There's no covered drop off area but the road is very close to the main doors. The room is a very large one and it's completely open so you can have up to 250 guests depending on your table layout and it's all air conditioned. It's a venue great for medium to large weddings.
