House of Refuge Jensen Beach Hutcinson Island Stuart Florida

Stuart Florida is known for it's amazing beaches, fishing areas and awesome tropical views. Directly across the way on the north side of Jupiter Island is Huthcinson Island that is home to numerous boaters, beach homes and golf communities. One particular wedding venue that stands out as a popular desination to get married is the House of Refuge. It's a historic building that has a museum that has many artifacts from settlers here. The location has amazing beach views overlooking the atlantic ocean and it has the perfect patio area out back by the water that is used for weddings, parties and events. The back is setup with pavers and all open access directly to the beach.

We have provided sound for many ceremonies out on the beach and the one thing you have to keep in mind is power is very limited. We use a full battery system and wireless microphones for ceremony sound. This is so helpful so we don't have to run power cords. Once the ceremony is done guests can head over for cocktail hour and the reception. There's plenty of space to setup tables, drinks bar, cake table and sweetheart table. Weather here can also be a factor so always have a backup plan in mind too. You can even have a ceremony and your reception at another location too.

With the House of Refuge you'll have to hire a catering company to provide the food and serving lunch, dinner for your guests. You can do sit down or buffet style depending on your catering company. You can also hire a wedding planner to help coordinate your reception, etc. Parking can be limited at this venue since it's right on the beach. You can literally walk from your car right onto the beach here. Also many party planners will have a tent company come in and setup a covering incase of rain or bad weather. For the House of Refuge, basically most services have to be brough in and hired. Everything from the catering, the DJ, bartender, etc. Your photos will be wonderful though and your photographer will love the places there to take pictures. For guests coming into town for the event, they'll love the views and have a blast. Another thing to keep in mind is, House of Refuge is quite a ways from stores and shops. It's on an island that is near the inlet so you'll want to make sure you have everything you need before you get there. Despite some of the factors, you're getting a piece of paradise at this venue. Definitely check it out because the view is second to none.
